The Victoria Room is Victorian-era opulence meets modern-day - with an exposed ceiling, classical chaise lounges, brass lamps with tasselled shades, gold-framed oil paintings and jacquard-clothed timber tables.
The Mediterranean and Middle Eastern-tinged bar food is excellent, well priced and affords plenty of variety. Most dishes lend themselves to sharing, to ensure eating doesn’t interfere with sociability. Try the mezze plate, a tempting selection of dips with warm Turkish pide. As well there’s rare-seared tuna on cannelli beans, capsicum, parsley, tomato and basil oil, or veal medallions sauteed with field mushrooms finished in sage and white wine sauce.
Establishments serving high tea are a real rarity in Australia, and Victoria Room’s offering, based on the Tiffin craze in Britain and post-colonial Asia, has proven to be exceedingly popular so far. Miniature sandwiches and cakes are served on china platters while the wait-staff ever-so-politely keep your teacups and champagne flutes full. It’s a little taste of the high life under the bar lights – bottoms up, chaps!

FOOD & BEVERAGE
With a menu leaning toward Mediterranean and Middle Eastern flavours, everything on offer arrives fresh, and bursting with flavour. Moderately priced and perfect for sharing, why not try the VR Mezze Plate, overflowing with chilli crab, spicy dips and warm pide bread. Like tapas, try a few dishes and share them around - fine dining has never been so casual and cool.
HIGH TEA
We think High Tea, served at The Victoria Room on Saturdays (2pm -4pm) & Sundays (1pm-5pm) is unique in Sydney (let us know if we're wrong!). Traditional little sandwiches, cakes, the finest tea and champagne add a truly old world sense of sophistication and occasion. Dictionary definition of Tiffin? "A lunch, or slight repast between breakfast and dinner. Originally a provincial English word then introduced into India". Tea and cake have never been so exotic.
Supper at the Victoria Room - The Victoria Room now offers FONDUES as part of the The Supper Room menu on Friday & Saturday nights from 11pm. Supper at The Victoria Room is perfect for post theatre/movies or simply late-night noshing! A FONDUE is great for romantic couples and fun for groups who like some late-night indulgence.
