A cult favourite in london since 1992, wagamama's unique take on the traditional japanese ramen bar has arrived in australia with immediate success.

"wagamama," in Japanese means "naughty or wilful child". The name certainly reflects the atmosphere of the fast, fun and funky noodle chain, now boasting six very popular locations around Sydney, one restaurant in Canberra.

Dining is communal, with guests seated at long wooden benches, and generous side dishes like the moreish, salty edamame beans and skewers of yakitori chicken are designed to be shared around the table. There is a comfortable bar area where you can linger longer over a beer or sake. Speedy and cheerful service and a buzzing atmosphere make wagamama great for quick lunches or casual group dinners.

wagamama has an extensive menu that includes a variety of noodles, Japanese-style curries, teriyaki, stir-fries, salads and its signature giant bowls of tasty ramen soup. There are also freshly squeezed juices on offer, Japanese beer and wine and a changing selection of desserts.
